What you need to know to achieve financial success
What do you want to achieve? It’s a big question. You’ve probably been asked it a few times during your life – by a boss, teacher, partner, friend. But have you ever asked it yourself – and truly thought about the answer?
Of course, achievement means different things to different people. Some people may think financial achievement means earning “a lot” of money. You may think it is getting a promotion, having a certain amount in the bank, or the ability to afford an overseas holiday each year.
You may also think of financial achievement as something separate from personal achievement, something that’s “strictly business”.
These are all valid answers. But here’s what I believe. I believe true achievement is when financial and personal success intersect. Achievement is financial independence – earning and spending wisely during your working years, and being able to retire in comfort without relying on the pension. Achievement is growing your business and personal wealth. Achievement is feeling fulfilled on a personal and business level. And achievement is being the best you can be in every aspect of your life.
This may sound impossible. But I’m here to tell you it’s not. It takes work. It’s a work in progress that, in truth, will change and grow throughout your lifetime! But you canachieve your money goals. You can achieve financial success and experience achievement in all areas of your life. This 12-part blog series will show you how.
IT’S NOT WHAT YOU EARN – IT’S WHAT YOU DO WITH IT THAT MATTERS
As an accountant and financial strategist, I work with clients of all different backgrounds. And I have found that it does not matter how much you earn – what matters is what you do with your money.
You could earn hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, but if you don’t have Money Intelligence® – the ability to make money, manage money, spend it responsibly and think about the long-term – you will never achieve true financial, business and personal success.
By understanding money and how to manage it, you can regain control of your finances. You’ll be able to save. You’ll be able to make real steps towards reaching your goals, retiring in comfort and even making the world a better place.
Quite an achievement, right?
